What do I know?
One of my main loves in life has been learning new things. If I haven't taught
myself, I've learned everything else I know either from life itself or from
one of the following schools:

- Salutatorian, Junior High Graduation, 1977
- High School Honor Roll 1977-1980
- National Honor Society member 1979
- high school senior award 1980
- member of the support staff of the University of Maryland football team

- Dean's list, University of Maryland
- initiated as a member of the Sigma Pi Sigma physics honor society, University of
Maryland 1984
- selected as a candidate for an AT&T Bell fellowship 1988
- Recognized as an outstanding teaching assistant in physics by the Purdue
Exponent in 1989
- outstanding teaching assistant, Iowa State University Department of
Physics and Astonomy 1992
- Recognized in 1992 by the United States Department of Energy for developing a Trivial
Pursuit game ( board and computer versions ) to help members of the Ames Laboratory
learn about matters of safety in an enjoyable way
